Wendy Breaks her Little Toe

As if Wendy couldn't have it any harder while preparing to go on our trip in March, Sunday morning she stubbed her pinkie toe so hard that she broke it.  She went to church, but after Sacrament Meeting she decided it would be best if she went home.  She took her shoe off and found that all of her toes were bruised and swollen.   Today, her staff at work insisted that she go to the doctor.  She went and had her foot x-rayed.  The doctor told her it was broken, and it would take 5-6 weeks to heal.  Wendy is still determined to go on our trip, so we may have to find ways to keep her from walking on it too much.

Piano Recital

Jeffrey participated in the Piano Festival for this year.  He performed two pieces called Tarantella and Seize the Day.  I really loved the second piece, but he did very well on both of them.  His piano teacher, Natalie Beebe, would like him to perform them for a scholarship competition that is scheduled sometime this month.  He played the pieces at a piano recital this morning.  Here is a link:  Piano Recital 2022

House Hunting

Yesterday morning, Wendy, Jeffrey, Kaleb, and I drove down to Utah to meet up with Ashley and Caz, who were in town to meet with their realtor and do some house hunting.  We found them with Tyler, Jaylen and Baylor looking at a home.  They looked at a few homes and they liked one of them enough to put an offer on it.  Unfortunately, the owners went with a different offer.  Later in the day we all went to eat dinner at a restaurant called The Base.  We spent the night at the Fairfield Inn.  We took the boys to the mall, and they played games and ate dessert.  Jeffrey and Kaleb went swimming in the hotel pool for a couple of hours.  This morning we went to a restaurant called Scrambled for breakfast.  We returned home after that, and Ashley and Caz went to the airport to fly back home.
