Spending a day in Utah

Wendy and I drove to Utah on Sunday morning to spend time with Ashley and Camden and Tyler, Jaylen, and Baylor.  It had snowed the previous two days and the roads were not great.  We took our time and made it safe.  We enjoyed a relaxing day, and we all went to lunch at Culver's restaurant.  Baylor got to hold Camden, and she was so cute the way she was so carefully holding him, until she was done.  Good thing Tyler was helping.  We watched the Eagles beat the 49'rs, and took a rest.  Later, after Caz returned home, we ate dinner from Panda Express.  The weather is very cold, and District 25 in Pocatello cancelled school for Monday.  We stayed the night at Caz and Ashley's home.  Wendy had her appointment at the Ogden Clinic on Monday morning, which was brief and to the point.  Gratefully, she does not appear to have any new nerve damage.  We bought lunch at Zupas and took it back to eat with Ashley and Camden before returning home to Pocatello.

Broadway Lights

Wendy and I had a date night tonight starting with dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  It was very busy, and we were almost running too late.  We attended a concert at the Stephen's Performing Arts Center and we arrived just as they shut the doors to the theater.  We had great seats on the main level center stage.  The concert featured three Broadway singers accompanied by the Idaho State Civic Symphony.  The three singers were Nathaniel Stampley, Phumzile Sojola, and Andrea Jones-Sojola, and they sang several hits from past Broadway shows.  Some of our favorites were "All I Ask of You" from the Phantom of the Opera, "Your Daddy's Son" from Ragtime, and the last number was "Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha.  They served refreshments afterwards and had a meet and greet with the performers.

Franklin Middle School Band Concert

Kaleb participated in the band concert at Franklin Middle School this evening.  Kevin and Kay went early to drop him off and to save some seats.  Thank goodness they did save seats for Wendy and me.  By the time we got there the parking lot was completely full.  I dropped Wendy off at the door, and then I parked across the street on the road that leads up to the hospital.  I don't recall ever seeing the parking lot that full.  Kaleb played the clarinet, and they put on a fine concert.

New Year's Day

I spent the day working.  In the evening we had Kevin, Kay, and Kaleb over for dinner.  We had sliders, BBQ Lil' Smokies, chips and cheese dip, and the last of our Christmas Punch.  We played a few games, but we were all pretty tired, so we finished up the evening early.  While I was at work I put together a Vision Board.  I had heard about these while watching Youtube videos about New Year's resolutions.  I decided that I would create one for myself this year.  I like the concept.  Here is a picture of mine:
