Baylor's Dance Recital

Baylor participated in a dance recital today.  Wendy and I drove to American Fork to watch her.  It was a rainy, wet day.  I really didn't know what to expect, but in my mind I pictured a venue with a small audience.  I was surprised when we arrived at the American Fork Junior High School to find a large number of cars all trying to find parking spaces in an already crowded parking lot.  I dropped off Wendy and parked a few blocks away at an L.D.S. meetinghouse.  We walked into the large auditorium and found Tyler, Jaylen, Murphy, Candace, and Jaylen's step-sister, Megan, in a row near the back.  The auditorium was completely full.  We watched several dance groups until Baylor performed.  I was impressed with how quickly the groups moved on and off stage. Baylor did very well and fully participated in the dance.  Afterwards we took pictures and then decided to find some food.  We ate at R&R BBQ near the Traverse Outlet Mall and had a nice dinner.  Wendy and I drove to Caz and Ashley's to spend the night.

New Year's Day 2024

We had the day off today, but Wendy went to work to catch up from her time off during the holidays.  I spent my morning removing Christmas decorations and lights from outside the house.  I also watched the Rose Parade, and I was amazed by some of the outstanding floats.  Jeffrey invited his friend Glen over for an afternoon of gaming.  This was his last chance before school starts up again tomorrow.  I worked in our laundry room, made a trip to Home Depot, and finished putting insulation in the wall I am working on.  Wendy made a batch of cookies tonight that are similar to brownies.
