A Day Trip to Utah

We decided to take today to drive to Tyler and Jaylen's home.  Ashley and Caz drove down as well.  We ate lunch with everyone and Wendy delivered Easter gifts to the grandkids.  We had street tacos for lunch, and Tyler grilled the tortillas and meat on his new grill.  He is doing a lot of cooking on it, and he really  likes it.  I think it is more convenient than a standard BBQ grill because you can cook a wider variety of food.  We watched the final round of The Masters, but then we left for home in the late afternoon.  It was a beautiful, sunny day.

Jeffrey Goes To NYC Again

Jeffrey went on a second trip to New York with other students from the Century High School Choir and chaperones.  I think he had more fun the second time around.  It was nice that he was already familiar with Manhattan, as he took the lead on many occasions for his group.  They went to the American Museum of Natural History, ate at the popular Ellen's Stardust Diner with the singing servers, watched Hadestown and The Great Gatsby on Broadway, visited the Statue of Liberty and the 9-11 Memorial, performed their songs at Carnegie Hall, and attended an after concert party at the Hard Rock Cafe.  They shopped at Times Square, and Jeffrey bought a souvenir hat at the Nintendo store.  He made some good memories.

Good-bye Scout

We learned from Ashley today that Scout passed away this morning.  She said that he died suddenly and unexpectedly, but that it was very quick.  Their vet believed that he may have had a blood clot that passed into his lungs.  We were saddened by the news, and Scout will be missed.
