The North Loop

This morning we got an earlier start.  We picked up some food to go at the General Store and drove north.  We stopped to take pictures near the summit of Mt. Washburn.  It was clear and sunny and cool - about 55 degrees.  It really turned out to be a beautiful day.  We stopped at Tower Falls and then drove to Lamar Valley.  We saw plenty of Bison and Antelope.  We stopped at a canyon overlook where we could see a large nest with two eagles in it.  From there we drove to Mammoth Hot Springs.  We parked in a space on the Upper Terrace and walked down the boardwalk and steps to see the different springs and terraces.  There was a crowd of people, and so many different languages.  Wendy rested on a bench at the bottom while I returned to get the car.  We drove to the Mammoth Grill and shared a cheeseburger, chicken tenders, and fries.  There was quite a line to order our food, but we managed to get a table, and we relaxed while we ate lunch.  We drove back to the Canyon Lodge and took a two hour nap.  This evening we drove along the Canyon rim and stopped several times to take in the view.  We went to the Canyon Eatery for dinner.  We had Korean BBQ and fried rice.  We returned to our room and watched a movie on the Chromebook.  We decided to watch "What About Bob" and it still makes us laugh.
